Purpose of Drill
The purpose of drill is to produce a cadet who is proud, alert, and obedient
and to provide the basis for teamwork.
If you're good at something you deserve to be rewarded. Drill isn't just marching up and down the square all day, it's being coordinated with the people to the left and right of you, being able to execute the correct sequence of events and presenting yourself perfectly.
The New Zealand Cadet Forces provides guards for hundreds of events and locations throughout the country for Anzac day and the Air Force Commemoration parade and numerous other events around both the country and the world.
Every training night begins and ends with a full unit Parade. This allows the Staff to inspect the team and for the duty team to give a briefing to everyone about the routine orders.
